The Sri Lankan Football Organization, UK's Sports Fiesta-2018

It was glorious sunny day,The Sri Lankan Football Organisation UK (SLFO UK) held, extremely successfully,its 6th Annual Sports Fiesta on Sunday the 03rd of June, 2018 at the Jack Carter Pavilion,Fencepiece Road,Barking Side.

Chairman of the Jack Carter Pavilion Mr Nick Hurst was the Chief Guest at this most special occasion and a presentation was held at the conclusion of this most entertaining of events with trophies and cash gifts being presented to the glorious winners and the runners up of the tournament. The Hon. President of SLFO UK, Mr. Jiva De Lambert, graced the occasion.

UKFC of Eastham was the third time champion of the football event and a monetary gift of £400 in cash as a gift which was presented to the team captain, Mr Raymond Emmanuel. A trophy too was received by these most glorious of champions of the football event. Congratulations are in order to the winning team for their most inspiring and winning effort. The runner up's were 11 Stars Fc From Catford in London. Congratulations are also in order to these teams for their most heroic efforts. The best player was judged as Mr Amalraj of UKFC Eastham while the best goalkeeper was judged as Mr Sageeth Ravisangar from UKFC Eastham for the football event. These extremely noteworthy winners received their champion's trophies too.

London eagle Cricket Club from Newbury park East London was the softball cricket champion and received a monetary cash sum of £350 as a gift which was presented to the team captain, Mr Dayan Chinthaka. A trophy too was presented to the winners for their most glorious and winning efforts. Congratulations are in order to the winning team for their most inspiring and winning effort. The runner's up were Summer Boys CricketClub from Hounslow with the third place going to the Mankatha Cricket Club from Tooting who each received a trophy. Congratulations are also in order to these teams for their most heroic efforts. The best player of the Cricket tournament was Mr Kalum Rasika Sampath from London Eagle Cricket Club Recvied the trophy from Mr Harsha Hewa Pathiranage.

We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all the members of the Jack Carter Pavilion and the ground was really beautiful with green grass players are very happy and enjoyed. Thanks also go out to the members of the Sri Lankan Football Organisation UK for their tremendous effort in running this event very successfully.

We are also, with enormous gratefulness, thanking all the sponsors and well-wishers of this event most specially and in particular, Duke Court Travels, Tillmax, and all the other sponsors to whom we are most obliged. Thanks and gratefulness is also due to first-aider Dr Poorvie Pathiranage. A giant thank you also goes out to newspaper editors of Newslanka and of the Sesatha Website. Last but not least, a huge thank you is due to the printer, Mr Sunil Bandara.

At the tournament, there were plenty of tasty Sri Lankan foods, supplied by Sindu Mahal.

Once again, we wish to offer a great big thank you to all of the teams who participated in this tournament and for providing their exceptional support via their participation in order to make this fun filled event a great success.

To those of you who attended this fun filled occasion and to those of you who didn't, we look forward to seeing all of you join us at the occasion of next year's sports fiesta.
