Oliver to receive membership from International Police Association

Oliver Madurapperuma Don, a Briton of Sri Lankan descent, has received membership from the International Police Association, United Kingdom section.

He joined the West Midland Police Authority as Police staff in 2005 and served in a number of police stations.

Not only is Oliver a policeman, but he is also an international standard Martial Arts champion having received a silver medal in the 1997 Euro Cup open Martial Arts championship in UK. In 1998 he achieved the Hall of Fame award in the UK. Oliver is a 3rd Dan Black Belt for shotokan karate.

He joined the Sri Lanka Police Department as a Sub Inspector in 1982, served Sri Lanka Prison Department as a senior executive officer and HM Prison service United Kingdom as an officer.

He has amassed 32 years of International experience in Prison, Police, security service, Government agencies, companies and private clients and is regarded as one of the most experienced operators of the business.

At present, he is Managing Director at MD International UK Ltd (SIA close protection & security training).

His wife, Mrs. Mary Don, was Coventry Ambassador for the 2012 London Olympics.

Oliver is the proud father two sons, Charith Don, Bsc Hons and Rasmika Don, King Edward College.
