Dr Zimar Sivardeen caught up with Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC, Conservative MP for Beaconsfield and chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee, ahead of the general election on 8 June.

Dr Sivardeen took the opportunity to speak to Mr Grieve about his work in the local community and raise awareness of his role as chairman of the British Sri Lankan Association (BRISLA) during the meeting at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair this month.

'It was great to meet Mr Grieve and we had a very good conversation,' said Dr Sivardeen. 'I have invited him to some of the organised events we have coming up and I hope we can build a strong working relationship together.'
