BRISLA SHOWS SUPPORT TO LOCAL YOUTH SPORTS CLUB
The Institute of Tamil Centre - Youth Sports Club celebrated its 17 years anniversary with its annual Sports Day 2017 at the Kingsmeadow Stadium in Kingston-upon-Thames.

Kingston and Surbiton MP Sir. Edward Davey was joined by other respected local figures including Kingston councillors Lorraine Rolfe, Thay Thayalan, John Azah OBE (Kingston Race and Equality Council), PC Benjamin Styles and Dr Zimar Sivardeen, Chairman of The British Sri Lankan Association (BRISLA) who presided over a number of sporting activities on the day including track and field, football and netball.

The ITC Youth Sports Club helps children and adults from the neighbouring Tamil, Indian, Pakistani and English communities to get involved in sport by organising regular practice sessions and competitions.

Chairman of ITC Youth Club, Mr. Vigneswara Kumar also publicity officer of BRISLA says: "The Club has grown from strength to strength over the past years. It was a great day all round and the sports day was an excellent opportunity to support and celebrate the work of the communities living in the Kingston area. We hope to continue with such inter community activities."
